About the Department of Economics

Department of Economics is one of the oldest departments in the Faculty of Economics & Administration, and the first department in King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The study began in the department in 1967 / 1968. The Department offers a bachelor's degree in economics through an integrated program with other scientific departments in the Faculty, and the award of a master's degree in economics from the beginning of second semester of the academic year 1988. Thirty-one members of faculty work in the Department of Economics with a number of Teaching Assistants preparing for the doctoral degree in the areas of various specializations outside the Kingdom.
